On this journey of self-discovering, the first thing you should do is make a committed vow to yourself. A commitment that you will surrender what you think you know and be open to redeveloping yourself. Like you were learning how to walk for the first time and considering that thoughts of yourself have been tainted.  Be dedicated to achieving the highest possible version of you, for you are a Divine being. Finally, don't allow anything or anyone to stop you. Even If you have to separate yourself or cut people off, do it! Remember this is your journey to self, the best you, the whole you. It will indeed be a challenge, but you must be determined! Commit to the "I AM presence of your Divine essence, and by all means do not tell anyone, I mean NO ONE..... Just do it! If you are in a serious romantic relationship, then suggest it to your partner/ spouse. That way you can help each other be accountable and assist in achieving your goals. Also, it will strengthen the bond between the two of you. If they are not interested, then respect their decision and continue on. Don't try to force the issue or persuade them. If they are not willing, it will only create tension between the two of you if you push or get upset. They have the right to choose their own path. Otherwise, keep it to yourself because people will try to block and stop you. Sad but true. People will become jealous when they see you changing. In addition, don't be too hard on yourself, you must be patient. You are redeveloping and rediscovering yourself, altering years of learned behaviors. Do whatever it takes to affirm your vow, say it in the mirror, create a reminder, or make it a part of your prayer. Whatever works for you. Eventually it will become as natural as breathing.
